GetCare Contributes to EADI/IOB Development Research Dialogue
GetCare’s research contribution examined livelihood change, mining pressure and the implications for restoration.
GETCARE FOUNDATIONOverview
GetCare Foundation reported participation in the EADI/IOB 2026 research dialogue through work presented by Dr Gyinadu Abubakar on livelihood transitions and the changing relationship between cocoa production and gold mining in Ghana.
The discussion drew attention to the need for evidence-informed responses that address the relationship between rural economic opportunities, mining-related environmental pressure and productive land-use systems.
GetCare’s RECLAIM agenda was highlighted as an emerging model for examining landscape restoration alongside livelihood transition. The engagement represents a research contribution and dialogue opportunity; it should not be interpreted as confirmation of an external funding award or implementation partnership.
